
The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) have little difference when it comes to the numerous assessments that the College Board offers.
About SAT
The College Board administers the SAT, that is a standardized test, which is recognized for admissions in the United States.
It is a 3-hour MCQ test with two sections:
Math and Evidence-Based
Reading and Writing
Total Score: 1600 (each section of 800)
To get into the Ivy League, ensure that you have an SAT score of over 1450.
It's registration costs $55 for US students.
About SSAT
The Enrollment Management association administers this test, a standardized test for those looking to apply in private schools.
The tests are offered in three levels:
Elementary
Middle level
Upper level
For verbal and reading section:
Analogy question and reading passages
For experimental section:
Verbal, Reading, and Mathematics questions
Its registration cost is $149, an additional $45, if registered late.
The major difference is the type of school.
Entrance Exams

SAT is for admissions in universities
SSAT is for students from grades 4 to 11 for admissions in private schools.

Only US and Canadian students can take the SSAT.

SAT allows calculator usage for one part of the math section.

For elementary students: 2 hours and 5 minutes
For middle and upper-level students: 3 hours and 5 minutes
While both tests have differences, they have a couple of similarities too. They are two different tests taken to apply to different types of schools.
